Important Meeting to Discuss Lawsuit Aimed at Stopping June Election

May 16, 2008

(St. Pete Beach, FL) -- In an unexpected move, a local resident and activist has filed a lawsuit to stop the June 3rd Special Election to improve St. Pete Beach. The members of Save Our Little Village (SOLV), are hosting a special community meeting on May 17th, at noon, in the St. Pete Beach City Hall. Residents are invited to attend and learn more about the legal implications of the suit.

"Unfortunately, this action hurts all of us," said Lorraine Huhn, Chair of SOLV. "It takes valuable City assets and tax payer money to defend this suit when the City faces unparalleled budget constraints. We have earned the right to vote and we should not let one person take that away from us," said Huhn.
